(online)
Maker University is a mini-online calligraphy conference. It starts off with a Friday evening presentation followed by an entire day where members of The Colleagues share their knowledge and expertise on a variety of calligraphy-related topics. Hands-on, lecture, sharing, Q&A; all methods of exploring calligraphy and related arts will abound!
This program is included in the All-Access Pass for Maker University.
If you are unable to attend Maker University on Saturday, Members can still attend this program for free (link will be provided) or non-members for a nominal fee (purchase from Our Store).
Modernizing Copperplate with Master penman, Mike Kecseg
from Mike:
Pointed Pen scripts have become more popular in the last few years. It seems everyone enjoys doing modern scripts and personal variations yet fail to have a strong foundation on which to base their letterforms. In this program I’ll show how learning a formal copperplate can serve as a jumping off point to create a more modern and expressive script. I’ll be demonstrating some of these techniques and sharing some examples of my work.
