Minnesota's Kensington Runestone & Medieval Manuscripts; Their Direct Connections

The Kensington (Minnesota) and Spirit Pond (Maine) runestones will be featured in a program given by Janey Westin. Norse runic writing, and the relevance of medieval manuscripts that support authenticity of these runestones will be part of the talk, with a highlight to be the latest manuscript research from this past June. This will include a rune letter carving demonstration in stone. She is the co-author of, "The Last Kings of Norse America; Runestone Keys to a Lost Empire", written with her father, Robert G. Johnson, after many years of research.
The Dassel History Center will also have a display of Westin's calligraphy, stone letter carving and sculpture work, beginning October 1st, 2024.
