We had a truly wonderful day at Saint John's University celebrating the 50th year of our founding. We affirmed the symbiotic connection between the creation of the Saint John's Bible and the growth of our guild.
Thank you to all who attended our opening fall meeting Saturday, September 20th at Hillside Church in Bloomington! We enjoyed perusing various members' work and projects, snapping up treasures at a “free” table, tasting delicious treats, and more!
This year we have been gifted with great lectures from Michael Sull, Della Hutchison and now Heather Held. We are a very fortunate guild to have time and attention from these great historians of our craft as well as gentle sharers of knowledge and wisdom.
Last April I was invited to teach a workshop on double stroke gothic majuscules. I spent 9 months of studying for the workshop - making notes of details to share with a wide variety of skill levels.
