How I Built My Own Font in 5 Sessions*
Ever try to make a font from your own hand-lettering? Well, it's always been a dream of mine, so I jumped at the chance to sign up for the Texas Lettering Arts Council's Workshop: Tool2Type with Font Designer Rob Leutschke.
Thrown in a class with several seasoned type professionals from Europe and the US - and other folks of various levels - I made it through, and would love to share the experience with you.
The App we used was Glyphs3 (a Mac OS based software) - and I had 'no' prior experience. That said, a great collaborative atmosphere prevailed (as it does in our community) - and we shared tips and tricks over a live, online 5-session course.
